60/366 B&W Wednesday. Spring has Sprung. The weather has been very strange so far this year. Warmer than normal, prompting early spring blooms, and severe storms. The azaleas in Florida are in full bloom and February is not even over yet. This photo of azalea blooms was taken with 6x6. Post processing occurred in Simply B&W; tonal quality and framing was done in OldPhotoPro.

Water of the Gulf
59/366. Part of my 2012/52, where this week's theme was water. This bridge spans the Intercoastal Waterway and the water is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Photo was taken with 6x7. The water effect was created with PXL. I then blended the original photo with the PXL photo in Juxtaposer, so that the effect would only be in the water. Iris was used to bring up the vividness of the photo. Scratchcam gave it the grunge look.

Pontiac
57/366 Pontiac. This is the hood ornament from an antique Pontiac from the 50's, which was found at the Zephyrhills Antique Car Auction. This lights up when the lights are turned on. Pontiac hood ornaments are typcially characterized by a running Indian brave or just his face on stylized later models. The native is Chief Pontiac of the Ottawa Indian tribe (from the Great Lakes area of the US), hence the name of the auto company. The photo was taken with Camera+ and post processed within that app. PhotoWizard was used to apply texture and the frame.

Sally Visits Tim the Butcher
51/366 Lego Monday. Sally Visits Tim the Butcher. Sally decided that she wanted to have a cookout for the President's Day holiday, since Spring was springing up so early this year. She brought Bobbie with her to Tim the Happy Butcher, which was a huge mistake as he started screaming that he did not want a t-bone for his Teddie. Photo was taken with PowerSketch using ColorSketchB. Post processing occurred in PSExpress for crop, saturation, contrast and framing.

Hope the artist doesn't mind. Cropping, contrast and sharpening occurred in PSExpress. Center Focus and framing were done in Snapseed.

A Cat's Love
45/366 A Cat's Love. Izzy, who likes to lay on soft surfaces, chose to lay her head on a hard wooden cross that my father made shortly before his death and which hung over his bed. Some things are not coincidental. I think she knows and misses him, as we all do. This is love in its purest form. Photo wax taken with 6x7 and post processed in Juxtaposer and Modern Grunge.
Sally's Love Potion
44/366 Lego Monday. Sally's love potion. Sally decided that she needed to spice up her love life. She decided that Harry Potter might have something that would do the trick. So she gathered up her friends and headed for Orlando. Celeste decided to try some of the potion right away so that she would be ready for Valentine's Day. As always, Sally was not amused. Shot taken with iPhone camera app.

Ft. Snelling
41/366 Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. My father was laid to rest here on Friday, February 10, 2012. It was a bitterly cold day. It is amazing to see these white markers neatly lined up as far as the eye can see. Sad, and joyful, day to celebrate my father's life. Photo was taken with 6x7 with no post processing.

My father passed away on 2/1/12. He was 82 and had been suffering from Alzheimers Disease. Hospice took very good care of him during his last days. May you rest in peace Dad.
