181/366 Bridge to the Heavens. iPhoto Week continues. This is a shot of the Clearwater Memorial Causeway toward downtown Clearwater. When the rainy season comes to FL, there are massive, billowy white clouds and the late afternoon sun and this bridge were the perfect setting to showcase them. Photo was taken with 645 Pro and processed in iPhoto.

Tropical Storm Debby
177/366 Tropical Storm Debby. iPhoto week. This week all my 366 photos will be processed in iPhoto. When there is a hurricane or tropical storm in Florida, the clouds are unusual in the you will see multiple layers of clouds, including puffy white ones against a brilliant blue sky and dark ominous black ones that are traveling quickly in a circular direction. Yesterday, it rained all day with the rain blowing in sheets. Today, there is flooding in low areas and very windy. Photo was sharpened, saturated, exposure adjusted and an art effect applied.

Ronald
174/366 Ronald. Jazz Week. My employer Liberty Mutual is celebrating its 100th anniversary and to celebrate, they are giving back to the community. Yesterday and today, employees were encouraged to volunteer at local charities. I chose to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House. We brought and fixed lunch for the families that are staying there. I wanted a pic of Ronald, but had to settle for this pic of a textured wall hanging. Photo was jazzed up in the Jazz app.

Branching Out
172/366 Branching Out. Jazz Week. B&W Wednesday. This banyan tree is a fig tree and is located at Bay Pines National Cemetery. The tree seeds germinate and send down roots towards the ground, and may envelop part of the host tree with their roots, giving them the casual name of "strangler fig." this B&W photo was taken with 645 Pro and apped up in the Jazz app.

Big Puffy Clouds
164/366 Big Puffy Clouds. Instaweek. In Florida this time of year, it is the rainy season and, the clouds get very tall and puffy. I loved how these were towering between the palm trees. Shot was taken with Instagram with the Sutro filter applied and lux. Then I applied lux one more time to make the clouds pop.

Violets Under Cover
160/366 FFF ( Filter Free Friday ) Violets Under Cover. It's been so rainy lately that the flowers need to take cover. I don't think it will ever stop raining and it seems like it is happening all over the world. This photo of pink African Violets was taken with the native iPhone camera, with no filters applied, and was cropped.

Royal Pair
157/366 Royal Pair. Week 23's theme of my 52/2012 is Royal, in honor of the Queen's Jubilee. I am a big collector of salt and pepper shakers. This pair was shot with HalfCamera. A warming filter and frame were applied therein. Scratchcam grunged it up a bit.

Bird Bath
155/366 Bird Bath. This is a combination of two photos that were both taken with the native iPhone camera. The background photo is of a bird that was painted graffiti on a warehouse wall in Ybor City. The foreground photo is of a pool waterfall at the Vinoy Hotel in St. Pete. They were blended together in Superimpose using the darken only blending mode. Square cropping was done in PSExpress. The combined photo was imported into Iris Photo Studio to add polarizing filter, grunge and black frame.

Red Fahrvergnugen (driving enjoyment)
154/366 Red Ride. This photo of an old VW Bus was created using the Mane Effect from Mobitog.com. I believe the photo was taken with the Native iPhone camera. Next a B&W version was created in Snapseed with frame and detail applied. This version and the original version were then brought into Scratchcam to be grunged up. The color version was then opened in PhotoWizard to have texture, hue and a frame applied. Finally, both were brought into Superimpose for the final effect. Thanks to MANE for his great tutorial on Mobitog.

A Photographer and His Sunset
153/366 FFF (Filter Free Friday) A Photographer and His Sunset. City Daily Photo's theme for June is tranquility. Nothing seems more tranquil than a photographer watching a beautiful sunset and waiting for the perfect light to take the shot. This is a shot of a photographer taking a photo of a Tampa Bay sunset taken toward Rocky Point. Photo was taken with the native iPhone and no filters have been applied.
