Sunset on 2011

This was a fantastic photo for the end of another 365. This photo is looking out over Lake Tarpon in John Chestnut Sr. Park in Pinellas County. Photo was shot in 6x7 and post processed in Squara. For all of my blog followers and FB friends, I have enjoyed sharing my photos with you and I wish you all the very best in 2012.

Holiday Flash!

I went to an open house last night and found this fabulous find. An elf taking pictures with a camera that flashes. Doesn't get much better than that! I was so excited by this that I had to find one on Ebay and he is on his way to me. This is a Hallmark Keepsake ornament that is about 10 years old. Photo was taken with iPhone without flash and then ran through Pixlromatic, Dynamic Light, and Scratchcam. Wishing everyone a very happy 2012!

Antique Shakers

This is a collage of antique salt and pepper shakers that were made in Japan. It is a boy caroler with song sheet and a girl caroler with lighted candle. The 3 photos that make up this collage were created with a variety of apps. The 6x6 iPhone app, with an Olloclip, took the photos, which were then processed in Decim8, Scratchcam, Pictureshow. The frames were created in Dyptic Frames HD and Picframe.

Painted Sunset

The weather is cold in FL right now and this results in more spectacular sunsets. This one was shot from the Belleair Causeway Boat Ramp looking toward the Gulf of Mexico. Photo was shot with 6x6. Then it was run through Noise Master, Dynamic Light and finally, Filterstorm.

Tropical Christmas

A tropical Christmas can be very nice. This photo is a composition of a Hibiscus flower in my neighborhood that was juxtaposed, with the Juxtaposer app, onto another photo of an antique ornament hanging from a tree at an antique shop. The antique ornaments were shot with Hipstamatic. Scratchcam was applied to the hibiscus photo. Frame Magic was used to compile the photos into a collage.

Lunar Lightstorm

I was taking pictures of outdoor holiday lights and decided to put my iPhone into my shirt pocket, when I heard the shutter go off. I thought, "I'll have to delete that one." I was surprised to find that I had captured this strange light pattern. Photo was taken in Hipstamatic with the Matty ALN lens and Pistil film. Photo was was post processed in FX Photostudio to give it an out of this world look.

Red and Green

Nekkid (unprocessed) iPhone photo of holiday lights in the palm trees at Largo Central Park. This signified Christmas in FL as it was near 80 degrees today. Had to be close to record temps for this time of year. Tourists loved it; locals not so much. Happy Holidays everyone!

This beer is made from a recipe that is over 9000 years old. Photo was taken and processed in King Camera.

King Of Lights

This was a picture that I took with King Camera of a brass rubbing combined with a picture of Christmas tree lights. The photos were combined in Photoforge2. Further post processing took place in FX PhotoStudio using Night Vision, Burnt Colors, Frost 1 and Ancient Canvas.

Christmas Lights

Welcome to my latest followers Choppography and David. Thanks for following along! This photo of Christmas Tree lights was taken with SlowShutter. Adjustments were made in KingCamera. ToonPaint gave it the painterly effect.

Gazebo Lights

Ulmer Park in Downtown Largo has a Gazebo that is all decked out in lights for the holidays. Photo was taken with an app that is mainly written in Japanese or Korean called Pudding Camera using dazzle film and snap camera. I used Touch Retouch to remove a garbage can. Finally, Steampunk was used to create the final look.

Dolphin Light Dancing

This lighted dolphin was dancing among the holiday lights at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. Photo was shot with an iPhone and post processed in PhotoWizard. I applied crop, texture, cross process, exposure, sharpen, light leak, light bokah and border.

Flying into Christmas

Christmas decorations in a FL yard lit up at night. Photo was processed in Qbro, Squara, Scratchcam and King Camera.

Lenny's

Lenny's restaurant, which is close to the Phillies' spring training field serves up a great breakfast and lunch all day. This institution has been in Clearwater for 55 years. No wonder it is so great. Photo was processed in Vintage Scene and then blended with the original in Iris.

Fa La La La Frise

A Bichon Frise ornament hanging from the Christmas tree. Photo was initially processed in Swankolab and then Grungetastic.

Ben T. Davis Beach

This is a popular stretch of beach, near Tampa, along the Courtney Campbell Causeway. This shot was initially processed with Dynamic Light and then Pixlr-I-Matic.

Light Falls

The FL Botanical Gardens has a wedding garden where they have decorated a wall with these white lights making it look like a waterfall of lights. The photo was taken with Claireview and post processed in King Camera with their new update.

Perky Santa

This is another of the Greek Diner's holiday windows. This perky Santa was cropped on Squara and then perked in Percolator using extra fine, Treble and stirred.

Full Moon

I love how this shimmery full moon was peeking through the trees. Photo was processed in Instagram using rise and tilt shift.

Barista Art

Visions of bells in my coffee. Original image is from a Greek diner window that was painted by an artist. I append it in the new percolator app using fine, rings and stirred. Fantastic upgrade to this app.

Mom Speaks with Flowers

Flowering Mother's Tongue. This was shot with Live Filter app using Goth filter and no frame. I did not know that this plant gets flowering shoots like this. This photo was entered in this weeks Mobitog.com challenge, which is green. Check it out if you are interested in iphoneography.

Tiki

Rocky Point near Tampa has many fantastic places to eat and drink by the bay. These tikis are located at Whiskey Joe's. Photo was processed in Magic Hour with effect of same name and tilt shift. Lindale effect was applied in FX PhotoStudio.

Victorian Christmas

One of the beautifully decorated houses in Mt. Dora Florida. Created with the night vision effect in FX PhotoStudio.

Flower Tree

This beautiful Poinsettia Tree was located outside of the Woodside Hospice House. I was there for a friend's memorial service. Hospice is such a wonderful organization. If you have any money or things to donate, you couldn't find a better organization to give to. Photo was taken in iPhone; post processed in GrungetasticHD and Iris. Finally, the effects of Atlantic Beach and Rusted Metal 2 were applied in FX PhotoStudio.

Holiday Missoni Palm

In FL, they wrap the trunks of palm trees with holiday lights. I ran this photo through Missoni Art and then the night vision effect in FX PhotoStudio.

Evening Glow

View toward the Gulf of Mexico from Indian Rocks Beach. The photo was taken in Leme Cam where the filters of Leme Leme and Bloody Mary were applied. Next Aladin, Rain and Dirt were applied in Pixlromatic. Percolator created the circles using extra fine, original photo and black grind. FX PhotoStudio effect of Hue Pink finished it up.

Toy Soldier

Toy Soldier was located next to an amazing tree in Mt. Dora, FL. The tree had thousands of lights that could change many different colors and was synchronized by a computer. Effects were created with Bad Camera; Leme Cam where tilt shift and Dark Forest were applied; and FX PhotoStudio where adjustments were made to saturation and effects Pencil Paint 2 and Dirty Picture 1 were applied.

Angel Reflections

A wall in Mt. Dora had these fantastic reflections on it. Photo was taken in B & W with Hipstamatic. I added some color with the Dream Cam HD app. I used Iris to blend this image with the original. Finally the Bilbao effect was applied in FX PhotoStudio.

Retro Christmas

Mt. Dora, FL is famous for going all out for Christmas. This town definitely has the charm of small town America. This time of year it feels very wintery, even though it is located in the heart of Florida. This scene was a window display in one of the stores. Photo was taken with iPhone camera. First, I used the Squara app to applied some effects. Qbro was used to apply the Miami filter. In FX PhotoStudio, 4 effects were sparingly used, including: Pencil Paint 2, Texturize, Pacific and Napa.

Water Everywhere

Originally these were blue and red water pipes. I apped them by taking the shot in Camera+. Next I applied the cinematic effect in Bleach Bypass. The reflection was created in Water My Photo. FX PhotoStudio solarize filter was the last effect that was applied.

Flying Keys

Fletcher Brothers has a large grand piano on top of a post outside of their warehouse that rotates. Photo was taken in Camera+ wherein crop, backlit scene and XproC 41 were applied. Juxtaposer created the additional pianos. Scratchcam applied several effects and FX PhotoStudio lightening 2 was applied.

Derby Night

St. Pete's famous dog track is Derby Lane. Here it is all lit up at night using Slow Shutter. Toon Camera and Snapseed were also used to apply effects. Finally, the Ancient Canvas filter was applied in FX PhotoStudio.

Road to Red Barn

This red barn is from an old Florida homestead in Pinellas County that is being preserved for use in a county park. The photo was taken in Qbro. Photogene2 was used to crop, apply the Lomo filter and the Fade In filter. In Stream Zoo I applied Toy Hipster and Tiltshift. Additional effects were added in Film Lab and Scratchcam. Finally, FX PhotoStudio was used to adjust Gamma, Brightness and Contrast.

Doggie in the Window

This scene is located on the front of a doggie daycare. Shot was taken in Qbro. Post processing started in Halftone to give the cartoonist effect; this effect was further refined in Photo4Phone. Finally FX PhotoStudio was used to apply Color Stars to the background and the Glendale filter to saturate the colors.

Treehouse

What a great place for kids imaginations to run wild. This great treehouse was snapped with Qbro wherein the Sawyer effect was applied. Further post processing took place in Scratchcam and FX PhotoStudio FX, where the Frost 1 filter was used.

Lamb Troll

These trolls were very popular in the late 60's and early 70's. Photo was post processed in Photo Wizard, Big Lens and PhotoStudio FX applying the Red Hue filter to get just the right amount of pink in that fabulous hair.

3 Maidens on Cleveland

Cleveland St. In Clearwater has outdoor sculptures that they swap out every so often. It's fun to go there as you never know what you may see. This photo was post processed in Luminance, Big Lens and finally in PhotoStudio FX using the Napa and Pencil Paint 2 filters.

Poinsettia

This photo was taken with the Hipstamatic app using the John S (lens) and BlacKeys B+W/Ultrachome (film); no flash. Post processing occurred in PhotoStudio Fx using Brush Strokes Vivid.

Soft Petals

Beautiful soft pink petals from the FL Botanical Gardens. This is another photo that was taken for a challenge on Mobitog.com with Hipstamatic using combo B which is: Bettie XL (lens), BigUp (film), Cherry Shine (flash optional.) I did not use the flash. Firecracker

I do not know the name of this lovely plant from the FL Botanical Gardens. This photo was taken for a challenge on Mobitog.com with Hipstamatic using combo B which is: Bettie XL (lens), BigUp (film), Cherry Shine (flash optional.) I did not use the flash as this was in bright sunlight outdoors. I love the soft muted colors that this combination produced. Check out the other challenge entries at Mobitog.com

Holiday Rays

The FL Botanical Garden always has a huge Holiday Light Show that starts after Thanksgiving. Tonight, they were testing the lights. This photo was taken and post processed with the King Camera app.

Fire Monkey

Food Truck Rallies are all the rage now. This was one of the trucks at a rally in Largo. This photo was processed in Squara and further post processed in Halftone.

Red Light

Beautiful stained glass windows bathed in red light from St. John's Greek Church in Tampa. Photo was taken with slow shutter. It was first processed in Photoforge 2 using pop cam. Next the lindale effect was applied in PhotoStudio FX.

Oh That Man!

These women were waiting to have their picture taken. I noticed that they had interesting looks on their faces like awe, disgust, despair, concern and apathy, so I started snapping away to catch this photo. I honestly do not know what they were looking at, but one can imagine all kinds of things. Photoforge 2 applied the sepia look and PhotoStudio FX was used to apply Old Age to give it that antique look.

Church of Many Colors

St. John's Greek Orthodox Church in Tampa has beautiful murals painted on the walls and ceiling. Almost anywhere you look. This scene is the front of the church showing the Mother Mary and Baby Jesus. Photo was post processed in Photoforge 2 applying the pop cam, followed by FX PhotoStudio using the burnt Colors and Ancient Canvas filters.

Mosaic Lights

This beautiful stained glass window and wall mural is located at St John's Greek Church in Tampa. Photo was taken with Slow Shutter app. Post processing occurred in FX PhotoStudio using the Derby, Turin and Mosaic filters.

Primaries in the wind

Ikea flags, in their bright primary colors, flapping in the wind. This pic was taken with iPhone. Post processed in FX PhotoStudio using crop, color charcoal sketch and noir blue.

Greek Dancers

St Johns in Tampa has a Greek Festival every November. There is dancing, food and drink, and delicious pastries. Here the dancers are wearing their native costumes from various parts of Greece. Photo was taken with Camera +, post processed in Film Lab, with the frame coming from e Wilner Frames.

This cute little guy was found on the steps of a dog hotel. Photo taken with iPhone and processed in FX PhotoStudio app using the Linocut 2 effect by masking it in.
